 TREE REMOVAL IS NOT INCLUDED with the purchase of your tree.

New in 2025, In Home and Oversized tree removal is only available with the purchase of your tree from City Tree. Curbside removal without a tree must be purchased on or after Dec 26.

  • Purchases before December 26: Removal service is only offered when paired with a City Tree tree purchase. Orders placed without a City Tree tree will be cancelled including Curbside, In Home, and Oversized tree removals. 

  • Purchases starting December 26: Curbside removal may be purchased as a standalone service (subject to capacity and updated seasonal pricing).

Removal Pricing (for trees up to 10ft.) When Purchased Prior to Christmas:
  • $39.95 for curbside removal
  • $59.95 for inside home removal

Removal Pricing (for trees up to 10ft.) When Purchased After Christmas:

Removal purchase after Christmas is subject to limited availability and price increase.

  • North (THURSDAY/SUNDAY): Evanston, Glencoe, Highland Park, Kenilworth, Lincolnwood, Skokie, Wilmette, Winnetka, Lake Forest
  • Northwest (WEDNESDAY/SUNDAY): Chicago including Park Ridge, Glen View, Morton Grove, Niles, Northbrook, Northfield
  • West (TUESDAY/SATURDAY): Oak Park, River Forest, Elmhurst, Oak Brook, Hinsdale, Western Springs, LaGrange
  • Southeast Chicago (FRIDAY): Along LakeShore Roosevelt south to Bronzeville/Hyde Park

 

TREE REMOVAL/RECYCLE DETAILS
  • Tree Removal/Recycling is NOT automatically included with your City Tree purchase
    • Scroll down to shop and schedule your tree removal
  • In-Home removal for core Chicago zip codes includes removal of the tree you purchased from City Tree from your home and disposal at one of the city tree drop locations
  • In-Home removal for suburbs consists of removing the tree you purchased from City Tree from your home and leaving it on the curb to be properly disposed of by the local municipality
  • Upon arrival, the delivery crew will remove the tree from the stand
  • All ornaments and lights should be removed prior to the removal date
  • Tree removal pricing will double if the order is placed after the Christmas holiday - please remember to order in advance!
